Meet the team
Dr Anne Purcell
PhD (UQ), M Ed (Harvard), B Ed St (Hons), Dip T, AACM (TD) FDRP, FRI Ad Med NMAS, TEP
Dr Anne Purcell is a dispute resolution specialist focusing on the psychology of interpersonal communication and conflict, specialising in high-conflict matters or difficult personalities. She practices as a mediator, family dispute resolution practitioner (FDRP), parenting coordination and collaborative professional, with a key focus on assisting families and individuals in the family law space.
Dr Purcell holds a PhD in Developmental Psycholinguistics and a Masters of Education, Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and The University of Queensland.
Anne’s main areas of expertise are educational psychology, communication patterns, the neuroscience of conflict, and parenting styles and their impact on child development.
Anne has worked with more than a thousand families experiencing divorce, separation and family transition. She has a particular interest in high-conflict matters and non-traditional or alternative family structures. In addition, she works on estate or succession disputes, and intergenerational family conflict. She also assists companies and corporations to reduce workplace conflict and increase productivity.
Awards & Achievements
She has been named a finalist Mediator in the Australasian Law Awards for the past six consecutive years (three of those years winners), and is regularly recognised as a preeminent mediator on Doyle’s List.

Anne is an accomplished international speaker frequently presenting on the topics of parenting coordination, collaborative practice, alternatives to traditional dispute management and litigation processes. Her focus is on prioritising the well-being of children following divorce, and fostering on-going respectful relationships between separated co-parents, families and colleagues.

As you drive up Trinity St, you will see a cottage at the end of the street. This is our office. There are two, three hour, and free visitor parking spaces directly out the front of the cottage.
Note: There may be no receptionist on the premises. Upon arrival, please knock on the cottage door which will be locked. Please take a seat and someone will be with you at the time of your session.
