Dr Anne Purcell Featured In New Bestselling Book On Divorce
Dr Anne Purcell, Founder and CEO of Resolution Partners tops Amazon’s bestseller list with her contribution to the newly-launched book, The Divorce Puzzle: Connecting the Pieces Collaboratively.
The book includes insights from 23 international collaborative divorce coach and mediation and professionals with the collective mission of providing simple strategies for creating a healthy divorce. The Divorce Puzzle gives actionable advice for all stages of divorce. From staying out of court, to effective communication and decision-making during the divorce process, to moving on after divorce. The insights shared throughout the book all have an underlying theme of maintaining one’s dignity throughout the divorce and beyond.
The book hit Barnes & Noble’s bestseller list shortly after its release.
According to Joryn Jenkins, president of Open Palm Press in the United States, who served as publisher and project manager for the book: “We are extremely fortunate to have the caliber of collaborative professionals who gave their time to contribute to this project. Each and every one of them is a true advocate and educator. To have Barnes & Noble put this book at the top of their bestseller lists is an incredible achievement and spotlights the appreciation and recognition they deserve.”
Dr Anne Purcell, the sole contributor from the Southern Hemisphere, shares her motivation for becoming a contributor to this book project: “As a mediator and educator who has worked worked with thousands of families transitioning from one home to two, I have learned there is more than one way to divorce. A respectful process that places its focus on maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship between the parents is, in my mind, the only way to ensure good outcomes for children. We don’t want children just to survive when we have the capacity to ensure they thrive! Too often, the needs of the children in divorce are marginalized in favor of anger, resentment, economic insecurity and rebuilding of parents’ emotional lives. I wanted to empower parents who wish to put their children first, and live up to that commitment.”
With her chapter titled, “How to tell a woman she is no longer a wife” Dr Purcell’s chapter speaks to couples where one partner is more advanced than the other in accepting the relationship is over. Anne states: “Unless this early stage of separation is managed with skill and kindness by the professional team, the whole tone of the divorce can shift toward negative outcomes for all involved. It is a must read for any parent concerned about how to choose which professional and what process to choose at this very distressing time”.
The focus of Anne Purcell’s chapter is to: “Uncover the hidden and harsh reality of what divorce litigation cannot offer to families whose focus is on their children moving forward and to explain the most significant alternative to litigation most lawyers do not talk about. The reader will be endowed with knowledge, understanding, and the power to choose the right process and professionals for them.”
According to Anne, “In the beginning, my hope was that this book might make a difference in the lives of children of divorce by inspiring parents to choose a different divorce path. When I saw the list of co-authors and the topics for the chapters, I knew it would become a bestselling reality. Their mission is the same as mine: to change the story of divorce and the lives of those it touches.”
Dr Purcell’s mission for her chapter in The Divorce Puzzle, “How to tell a woman she is no longer a wife” is to “. . . dismiss the inevitable and embrace the impossible. I work with people the midst of life’s darkest times. I help people divorce differently. Their children do better. It’s just that simple.”
Dr Anne Purcell has always served mediation and collaborative divorce clients in the Brisbane area through her firm, Resolution Partners but in recent years has established an international client base to serve families “wherever they may be on whatever schedules they keep”.

It was great seeing how much work you put into it. Even though the design is nice and the writing is stylish, you seem to be having trouble with it. I think you should really try sending the next article. I’ll definitely be back for more of the same if you protect this hike.
